POLICY ON ACCREDITATION OF THE TESTING LABORATORIES FOR THE METHODS DEFINED BY THE LITHUANIAN STANDARDS TRANSPOSING THE INTERNATIONAL OR EUROPEAN STANDARDS BY THE

COVER-SHEET METHOD OR BY THE METHOD OF APPROVAL BY NOTIFICATION

1. Laboratories can apply directly the test methods defined by the Lithuanian standards transposing the international or European standards by the cover-sheet method or by the method of approval by notification, if the personnel of laboratory when performing the tests are able to read and to apply in practice such a methods.

2. If the personnel of laboratory is not able to apply directly the Lithuanian standards transposing the international or European standards by cover-sheet method or by the method of approval by notification:

2.1. Laboratory shall be provided by:

•  The translations of the standards defining the test methods;

  The procedures of the performance of the tests, if needed.

2. 2. The (technical) assessors evaluate:

•  Elaborated procedures of the performance of the tests (if such an exists); 
•  Correctness of the performance of the tests (by witness, by interview);

(Technical) assessors when assessing the performance of the tests follow the Lithuanian standards transposing the international or European standards by cover-sheet method or by the method of approval by notification and submit the remarks to the translation of the standard, if needed.
